Elders here in my country always say: "Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako."
Translation: "Your still on your way, I'm already on my way back."
Its kind of their way of saying that they already know what we're going through and they always know more than we do. But life obstacles change in every generation, and every progress in society brings new struggles, whether physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual. Problems just get more complicated and gain more depth through time, and I have seen people, no matter what age, make mistakes even though they knew better, that is, if they knew better.
So my answer to that is this: "Papunta pa nga lang ako, pero nakita ko na kung saan kayo nadapa."
Translation: "I may still be on my way, but I have already seen where you stumbled and fell."
